U10-U14 Travel

At age nine boys and girls begin to play full-ice hockey and build on their skills. Emphasis remains on teaching skills in a positive environment for growth and development for each skater.

U10 Squirts

The Squirt Division is for skaters aged 9-10 and offers co-ed teams at varying skill levels to develop all players while introducing full ice hockey.

U12 PeeWees

The Pee Wee Division is for co-ed skaters aged 11-12. The focus is on developing all players within a competitive and fun environment.

U14 Bantam

Bantam Division teams are for co-ed skaters aged 13 to 14 years old. Checking is allowed at this age level. Skaters move from Bantam to High School play at age 14 or 15. 

Ages

  • U10 (Squirts) - ages 9 - 10 (2013, 2014)
  • U12 (Pee Wees) - ages 11 - 12 (2012, 2011)
  • U14 (Bantam) - ages 13 - 14 (2010, 2009)


When

Evaluations are held in October and teams will compete in regional games and tournaments until March.

Where

Practices and games are held at Tri County Ice Arena. Occasional games may be held at the Community First Champion Center.

Practices

Practices are held 3-4 days a week through a combination of individual team, age group, and dryland practices.

Extra Costs

Beyond registration fees team managers will collect fees for tournaments. Additional fees are optional on a team by team basis and may include team bonding events, additional ice time, or team practice jerseys.

Tournaments

All travel teams will attend one local tournament and one travel tournament throughout their season. In addition, all teams will play regional playdowns in hopes to attend the state tournament in March.
