Introductory Program
The introductory program, referred to as IP, is our learn to skate program. No skating experience is needed. This program focuses on learning to skate while playing games and having hockey fun.

Ages
This program is for brand new skater (typically ages 4-8) and is open to skaters who reside in the Neenah, Menasha, Hortonville, Shiocton, and Winneconne school districts.
When
This program runs in two 8 week sessions (one starting in October, and the second starting in January). You can attend either one of the sessions or the full 16 weeks. Session 1 is not required to skate in session 2.
Practices
IP meets Thursday nights from 6pm-7pm at Tri County Ice Arena in Neenah.
Equipment Rental
All participants in the program dress in full hockey gear. Equipment rental is available for a small fee. Rental equipment includes hockey bag, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, skates and jersey. Skaters not renting equipment will be issued a jersey to use during the program.
Cost
FVYHA IP session fees: FREE - First 8 weeks + USA Hockey fee
$50.00 - Each additional session
USA Hockey fee: $15.00 - Ages 6 and under
$56.00 - Ages 7 and up
*registration with USA Hockey is required to register and participate in any hockey activities
*USA Hockey fee is only paid once per hockey season
Rental equipment: $50.00 - 1 session or full 16 week program
